Finally installed KDE running side-by-side with Gnome on Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala Beta.

Can you set up a dsl network on that? Because I couldn't on my 9.04 Ubuntu with Gnome/KDE.

Yeah I haven't had a problem with it yet. The toughest part was going wireless on my laptop. Make sure you know what the security method your router is using for KDE (WEP, WPA/WPA 2)

I know, and I doesn't use a router. It's a simple Pppoe connection. The only problem is that the DSL and some other tabs are greyed out in the network manager window.

Maybe its a 9.04 thing. 9.10 is goin' to be released in 11 days. That's what I'm using. Even though its beta it actually works better on my newer laptop.

For example my brightness control never worked in 9.04 but it and many other things work better in 9.10.
